For as long as I can remember, I have held passion for visual media and the power it wields over our emotions, motivations, and culture.
Some of my earliest memories involve playing around with my toy camera and shooting home videos on a VHS camcorder I could barely lift.
During school holidays, I would spend hours browsing through my Grandad’s old photo albums and boxes of slides, fascinated by the historical record of a bygone era that lay before me and grateful for the opportunity to access it.
The belief that the photographic record is one of great importance remains a key motivator behind my work and the approach I take.
In my personal work, I look to document the every day, often overlooked details of the environment which I inhabit.
